A gala concert for war veterans was held at the PJSC “ZTR” recreation center

In May all of us celebrated the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory. The generation of our veterans went through the horrors and ordeals of war, losses of the dearest and nearest, ruining and restoration of national economy. Perhaps that is why these people possess so much kindness, humanity, wisdom, patience and fortitude.

Our plant remembers and honours war veterans and every year participates in the marathon “Memory” and contributes to support of veterans as much as possible. ZTR helps regularly to its own veterans with welfare assistance (in 2016 the plant devotes 300 thsd hrn for this purpose and this is three times as much as the last year budget), procures transport, health care in the sanatorium “Chaika”, organizes culture events.

For example, on May, 4 there was held a gala concert for veterans in the recreation center n.a. Ivanov. The large hall was full: veterans and people born in the time of the Great Patriotic War came to the event (150 persons – veterans of PJSC “ZTR”, 250 – veterans of the Dneprovskiy district, 100 – veterans of Zaporozhye). On-stage performance groups of PJSC “ZTR” and our city presented a real festival for the spectators.

All those present were felicitated by the assistant to General Director on public relations Anna Tishchenko, the transformer shop foreman Roman Khizhnyak, the Chairman of the board of veterans Lyudmila Tseomashko, the Chairman of the youth council Alexander Vorona, the deputy of the Chairman of Dneprovsky district administration Vitaliy Grytsenko, the Chairman of Dneprovsky veteran organization Svetlana Yagovdyk.

Our plant doesn’t stand aside of the current war – 104 employees of ZTR are called up to the army and 31 of them are directly involved in the combat actions, three of them have been awarded by the orders and honorary titles. PJSC “ZTR” welcomed at own sanatorium 90 displaced persons. Workers of ZTR conducted repairs of military equipment, provided transport for the needs of ATO, helped with office equipment, construction materials, provided financial assistance. Plant workers actively participate in volunteer services.

We hope to goodness to believe and wish this war to end as soon as possible. There is nothing more precious than peace. And those who greeted May, 9 in 1945 appreciate it most of all. Reverence and imperishable memory.
