Generator step-up transformers
Generator step-up transformers are purposed for power transmission, generated at electric power plant, to high voltage backbone network.
ZTR manufactures generator step-up transformers:
- single-phase, with power range up to 533 MVA for voltage classes up to 1150 kV;
- three-phase, with power range up to 1250 MVA for voltage classes up to 525 kV.
Transformers can be produced with split generator windings for simultaneous connection to two generators and be equipped with built-in on-load or off-circuit tap changers.
Autotransformers are purposed for interconnection of two high-voltage networks with different voltages, for example 110, 220, 330, 400, 500, 750 kV or others.
ZTR manufactures two- and three-winding autotransformers:
- single-phase, with power range up to 667 MVA for voltage classes up to 1150 kV;
- three-phase, with power range up to 500 MVA for voltage classes up to 500 kV.
Autotransformers are equipped with on-load voltage regulation by means of tap changers (OLTC).
Normally, transformers manufactured by ZTR are designed with delta-connected stabilizing tertiary winding which can be used for auxiliary supply.
Transformers for substations of transmission and distribution networks and industrial enterprises
Transformers for substations of backbone and distribution networks as well as industrial enterprises are generally purposed for voltage decrease from 110–500 kV to the level of local distribution networks 6–35 kV, including the networks of industrial enterprises.
Two- and three-winding transformers of this type as well as the transformers with split winding are produced at ZTR. Almost all such transformers are equipped with on-load tap changers.
Power plant auxiliary and starting transformers
Two types of auxiliary transformers are produced by ZTR PJSC: generator transformers to be connected to the power plant generators, and starting (start-up) transformers to be fed from high-voltage network.
Starting (start-up) transformers ensure supply of the power plant within construction period as well as during operation in case of emergency shutoff of the generators.
Both types of transformers are normally manufactured with split windings and on-load tap changers.
Transformers for DC transmission lines and high-capacity converter substations of tie-lines
ZTR manufactures transformers for DC transmission lines for voltages up to ± 750 kV and for high-capacity converter substations of tie-lines.
