ZTR equipment corresponds to Saudi Arabia standards

“Zaporozhtranformator” PJSC (ZTR) has been pre-qualified in generation subdivision of the company “Saudi Electricity Company” (SEC). ZTR has gain a right to participate in the company tenders for delivery of transformer equipment rated for capacity up to 250 MVA and voltage up to 400 kV (maximum voltage for Saudi Arabia).

“Market of Saudi Arabia is the largest in the Middle East – its volume makes-up minimum 25 GVA per year,– noted Alexander Tzier, Sales Director of “ZTR” PJS. – By-tern, SEC company is the main customer of transformer equipment for the present region and sets up strict requirements to the customers’ level and quality of supplied equipment. Strategic objective of ZTR is to enter the market of Saudi Arabia and hereby strengthen the company authority in the world market of transformer production”.

In May 2012, “Zaporozhtranformator” PJSC (ZTR) was successfully audited for correspondence to SEC requirements. The main requirement of “Saudi Electricity Company” was equivalence with internal standards of the company, which differ to the great extent if compared with international standards – IEC and ANSI. For the purpose of pre-qualification, the present standards have been scrutinized by the division of “Zaporozhtransformator” PJSC Technical Director; thereupon, correspondence to these standards was confidently approved by it as related to manufacture of ZTR equipment.
